90-day reporting while outside of Thailand

If I have to leave Thailand for more than 3 months and unable to report to immigration with a retirement visa, is that a problem? I mean if I will not report in 3 months cause I am overseas, will that be ok?

This is another very common question about your visa while outside of Thailand. Note that it is ok, because once you have left the country and entered back in Thailand, that is already considered as your Immigration reporting. And since you are on a 1-year extended visa you need to ensure that you have a re-entry permit in your passport before you leave Thailand or you will invalidate your visa once you leave.

How long the re-entry permits expires? I am now on leave due to covid pandemic. Do I need to be back within 90days from the time I left otherwise re-entry will expire?

The re-entry permit is valid until the current visa extension or permit to stay is valid.

I have a single entry visa for 90 days, expires on 6th May and I left Thailand before it expired. I have to go back to Thailand on 29th march with my son as my husband is in Bangkok now and not able to travel because of the micro stroke he had earlier. Do I have to apply for a new visa in Thai embassy?

    • Hi Iuliia,

Good day! When you left Thailand without a re-entry permit, your previous non-immigrant visa has been canceled automatically. In order for you to travel back to Thailand, you need to apply for a new visa from the Thai embassy.

Hi. I have just recently renewed my Work Permit and Non-B Visas (13th July 2018). Does this RESET the date for my 90 day reporting, or will I have to report on the same day as before I renewed these visas (around 10th August as I returned to Thailand from the UK on 10th May)?

Work Permit and Non-Immigrant business visa is different type of documents. You need to follow separate schedule on your reporting. The work permit renews every year. The visa on the other hand, must report every 90days or leave the country every 90days depending on the type of visa you have an where you obtained it.

My 90-day report is due May 29th 2017. I am scheduled for back surgery and may not be able to go in-person. Also, my Visa expires June 6, 2017 and may not be able to walk at that time.

    What should I do?

    Best Regards,
    RCP

You need to postpone your surgery. You need to do the reporting and renewal of your visa on the same day which is on May 29th.

I have a one year Non O multiple entry visa from UK , and arrived in Thailand in October 2015. The intention is to travel back to UK with my Thai wife in mid April for up to 6 months stay. In the meantime 90 days will expire later this month. I am not clear whether, with the new rules, I must exit the Kingdom or can I apply at an immigration office in Pattaya? We plan to return to Thailand about September 2016, again for approximately a 6 month stay, can you advise the best visa option I would need?

Since you’re already in Thailand, your best option is to get an extension to your non-immigrant O visa at the immigration office in Pattaya. Please send to us your contact details or send at [email protected] and we will contact you immediately for further advise on your concern.
