Visa on Arrival from Laos

Apr 24, 2015 Frequently Asked Questions 16

Hello, we have a visa question. We are still in Laos, but want to go back to Bangkok soon. When we will cross the Thai border, we will just get a visa for 2 weeks for free. But we want to stay a time like 67 weeks in Thailand. Is there a possibility to get a tourist visa for 90 days in Bangkok, such as visa on arrival? Or can we only get a tourist visa in an embassy outside Thailand?

You can only obtain a 60 day tourist visa at the Thai embassy outside Thailand. If you wish you may apply form the Thai embassy in Laos.

Ethiopian passport holders may apply for a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 15 days. Your friend can apply for the visa at the Suvarnabhumi Airport before passing through the immigration checkpoint.

Obtaining a Visa on Arrival depends on the passport that you hold upon entering Thailand. Kindly refer to the link below for the list of countries that are eligible for a visa on arrival.
