Thailand Privilege Card

The Thailand Privilege Card: What It Is And How To Get One

The Thailand Privilege Card provides one of the most convenient and rewarding experiences for long-term stays in Thailand. By becoming a member of the Thailand Privilege Program, you can secure the Thailand Elite Visa and gain the easiest path to long-term stay in Thailand, along with a range of exclusive benefits and VIP services.

As a member, you will also have the option to obtain a physical Thailand Privilege Card, which will simplify leveraging all of the program’s privileges.

What is the Thailand Privilege Card?

The Thailand Privilege Card is a physical membership card available to individuals who have joined the Thailand Privilege Program and have already secured their Thailand Elite Visa. However, it is important to note that the card does not act as a substitute for the Thailand Privilege Visa and cannot be used for entry into the country, as it is neither a visa nor a travel document. Your visa will be placed in your passport, and it, not the Thailand Privilege Card, must be shown to Thai Immigration upon arrival.

While optional, the Thailand Privilege Card serves as official proof of your membership and Elite Visa holder status. The card is particularly useful when leveraging the program’s premium perks and privileges, as some vendors may request confirmation of your membership before granting access.

The Thailand Privilege Card streamlines the verification process and allows you to leverage the program’s premium perks and privileges without needing to call the Member Contact Center (MCC). Without the card, you or the vendor must contact Thailand Privilege directly via the MCC to confirm your membership, which can lead to delays and potential confusion.

How to get a Thailand Privilege Card?

Before you can get your hands on a Thailand Privilege Card, you must first become a member of the Thailand Privilege Program, which involves the following steps:

  1. Submitting a Thailand Elite Visa application along with other required documents
  2. Passing the background check (which takes between 4 and 6 weeks to complete)
  3. Paying the membership fee
  4. Affixing the Thailand Elite Visa to your passport

To maximize your chances of approval and simplify the entire process, it is recommended to consult with a General Sales and Services Agent (GSSA). A GSSA is an organization partnered with the Thai government to provide complete assistance with all Thailand Elite Visa applications free of charge. Their services include collecting and reviewing the required documents for your Thailand Elite Visa application and submitting them to the appropriate government agencies on your behalf.

Once you’ve become a member of the Thailand Privilege Program, you can request a Thailand Privilege Card by contacting the 24/7 Thailand Privilege Member Contact Center (MCC) or by asking your GSSA to assist with the process, which they will also do for free.

How to use your Thailand Privilege Card?

To use the Thailand Privilege Card, simply present it to the vendor providing the perk or privilege you wish to leverage. This will verify your membership and grant you immediate access to it.

Although some vendors may not require the physical card, it may be needed to access certain privileges, such as complimentary golf sessions, dining and shopping discounts, or tickets to specific events.

If a reservation is required, it must be arranged in advance through the MCC. After it has been confirmed, you can present the Thailand Privilege Card to the vendor for a quick and hassle-free membership verification upon arrival.
