Thailand Lifts Travel Ban on African Countries

Starting January 11, the travel restrictions on international travelers coming from African countries visiting Thailand will be lifted.

Thailand’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration approved the move after deliberations.

Previously, travelers to Thailand coming from Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, and Zimbabwe were not allowed to enter the Kingdom.

All travelers from the approved countries will be allowed to apply for a Thailand Pass under Sandbox Programs or the Alternative Quarantine System.
