  7. This is the latest date that you are allowed to enter Thailand in case of flight changes. You are allowed to enter Thailand later than your proposed date of arrival. You can enter within 3 days after the original date of arrival. This is NOT the expiry date of your visa or permit to stay in Thailand. This is NOT the date you are permitted to stay in Thailand.

COVID Insurance for Thailand Pass

Foreigners applying for the Thailand Pass must submit a copy of the insurance policy or certificate. Based on experience, the common problem for Thailand Pass applications being rejected is that some insurance policies are not properly worded. Your COVID-19 insurance must expressly state the traveler’s name, policy number, start and end date and that it covers up to 10,000 USD medical expenses including COVID-19 while in Thailand.

You may use your own health insurance or purchase insurance from your own country, however, it is recommended to purchase from an insurance company in Thailand such as AXA Insurance Thailand to make sure that you meet the requirement in obtaining the Thailand Pass successfully.

  1. Hi, So i have the correct info, I am travelling to thailand on 9th August. Documents needed are;
    Travel insurance for $10,000
Covid test result under 72 hours

    Ian

  2. I’ve read that the thailand pass is discontinued on july 1st.I have applied for a visa online.Paid for it this morning.

  3. I applied for a Thai Pass last Saturday and whenever I check the status I will be redirected to the registration site. Is it down at the moment? I will be traveling on the 29th of June and I need it immediately. Thank you.

  4. Good Day,
    Sorry just another question.
Re if the medical insurance cover has to be a minimum of USD10m and if the £8m is not quite $10m (it is $9 841,960.00 with the current exchange rate ) would the slight shortfall in USD be acceptable ie how much allowance do they give for conversion from £ to $ is allowed so that Thai Pass will be approved?

Also I see effective today Thailand has relaxed the remaining covid restrictions re masks, restaurants, bars, trading hours etc. Will this perhaps mean that the Mandatory Covid medical insurance cover will either fall away or be reduced from USD10m? Thank you.

  5. I’m traveling to Thailand next month and I received the Thailand Pass for me and wife and kids. Do required to do PCR test for my kids before I travel? I’m full vaccinated with three doses and my wife with two doses.

    1. Dear Feras,

Make sure your children has Thailand Pass green color the same as you. They do not need to do RT PCR test since they are traveling with you.
      Thank you.

  6. I got a conformation by email that my QR code and Thailand pass will be send to me ( including a code ) but i am waiting 2 days now and if i use to check the code i am converted to do the application request again .
    What is going on ?

    1. If i do so dear Mr Rex, and fill out all relevant parts, the system “ send “ me again to the format to REGISTER myself again ? What do i do wrong ?

    2. Dear Harthoorn,

Yes, you can register again and it will only take 30 minutes to complete. if you will travel in July, you do not need Thailand Pass.
      Thank you.

  7. Do I need a Thailand pass for international transfer at the airport ?
I won’t go through immigration. Just in transit, flying from Australia to Germany.

    1. Dear Pascale,

No, you do not need to register for Thailand Pass if you are not passing through the Passport Control in Bangkok. You only need insurance and proof of vaccination or proof of COVID test.
      Thank you.

  8. I feel very very distressed this shouldn’t be when you are travelling for a simple holiday. I do not have a computer I have to work this problem on my phone. What is the point of a Thailand pass when you have your documents. What was wrong with a form on the plane. It’s all fiddling and ridiculous. Giving people stress. Especially when you belive you have submitted all and hear nothing. My ticket cost me a fortune. They need to scrap these requirements.

    1. Hi Michell,

      Effective July 1st , 2022 it’s no longer required.

      Thank you

  9. I arrive In HKT 6th August 2022 from SIN SQ736 In transit from Bali, and original country of mine Is Australia WA, however, your form will not allow me to fill In a date of arrival, but will accept a departure date, which Is 4th Sept, seems very odd to me. I know there Is quite some time before i leave for Phuket, but I always like to be well prepared & organised.
I leave Perth WA on the 8th June, stay In Bali for 60 days then onto HKT.
    Kind regards,Doug Gray

    1. Hi Douglas,

You can enter Thailand by August without Thailand Pass, nothing to worry.

      Thank you
