      Hello, Tarek.

The Thailand Visa on Arrival is said to have taken effect since June 1, 2024. However, there have been reports of people experiencing difficulty when trying to enter Thailand with the Thailand Visa on Arrival. Currently, it is advised that you apply for a Thailand Tourist Visa instead.

I would like to apply visa to enter Thailand to stay one month . I would like to get before I travel

    • May 30, 2024

      Hello, Myat Pwint Phyu.

You can enter Thailand through the Visa Exemption Scheme and remain the country for a total of 30 days. However, you must meet the eligibility requirements to do so.

In the case you do not meet the requirements, you can apply for a Thailand Tourist Visa before coming to the country, which will allow you to remain in the country for a total of 60 days.

Hi, i am Romanian citizen but I live in Germany.
What do I need for the visa on arrival for Thailand if I have an available Romanian passport?

    • February 14, 2024

      Hello, Simona.

You will need a passport with a validity of at least 30 days remaining, have verifiable proof of accommodation in Thailand such as a hotel or apartment address, proof of a return ticket (open tickets do not qualify and traveling to neighboring countries does not count as proof of exiting Thailand), and proof of available funds (10,000 THB for single travelers and 20,000 THB per family).

You will also need a completed Visa on Arrival form (available at immigration), a passport photo, and a fully paid return air ticket.

    • September 17, 2018

You need to contact the Airline company that you will take and see if they will allow you to board the plane. As for the Thai immigration officer as long as your passport validity covers the duration of your stay, then that will be considered.

    2. how do my friend apply his 90 days visa for a Chinese passport holder

    Thank you very much.

    • September 12, 2018

For Australian passport holder, you can only enter Thailand for 30days under visa exemption.
For Chinese passport holder, you can only enter under visa on arrival for 15days.
For both nationalities to stay longer than the given days, both need to apply a Thai Tourist visa at the Thai embassy.
For Australian national, you can apply it at the Thai embassy in Australia.
For Chinese national, you can apply it in China, if you have a residence permit in Australia, you can apply it at the Thai embassy in Australia as well.
Both nationalities will get 60day entry and can be extended to another 30days inside Thailand.

I am travelling to Phuket via Bangkok. I have 1.30 hrs of lay over time at Bangkok airport. I have booked the ticket through Thai Airways. So assuming this is not enough time for applying visa on arrival at Bangkok airport. In this scenario, can I apply on arrival visa at Phuket airport directly ?

    • July 2, 2018

No. The visa on arrival must be applied at the point of entry ( which is Bangkok Airport). If you have booked your flight through Thai airways ( Your country-Bangkok-Phuket all Thai Airways), you may want to contact Thai Airways if they can facilitate your visa on arrival in Bangkok.
