I am a UK citizen/passport holder and plan to visit Thailand as a tourist for 4 weeks using the Visa Exemption Scheme. My plans are then to spend the next 3-4 weeks in Vietnam &/or Cambodia before returning to Thailand for another 4 weeks, after which I will depart back home to the UK. Is re-entry into Thailand acceptable under the Visa Exemption Scheme. Thank you for your help.

Hi, I’m from the United Kingdom, I am planning to visit a friend this year in Thailand for 30 days or less. Do I need to apply for this type of visa? And having this type of visa means I can stay longer than 30days?

    • June 4, 2018

For UK passport holder, you can enter Thailand under visa exemption for 30days. You can extend 30days more at the Thai immigration office for 1900THB.
If you stay longer than 60days, you need to apply a Thai tourist visa before flying to Thailand, this will allow you to stay 60days plus 30days total 90days of stay.

Are you open for 24 hours because I have some relatives that are arriving at 22:00 at night and they are wondering if the visa machine is still working at that time.

      Hi Ashley,

The International airports in Thailand operates 24 hours. All immigration officers are also on stand-by for all types of people passing through the country.
The Immigration counters are open as long as there are scheduled flights.
