    Hi there!

From my understanding, after staying at a SHA+ hotel for the first 7 days, I can move to another SHA+ hotel after. Do I ALSO have to stay for 7 days in the 2nd hotel? Or can I stay, let’s say, 2 days in one, 2days in another? Also, After my 14 days in Phuket I’m planning to go to Phang-nga for a few days before leaving Phuket. Is that possible?

    Thanks!!

    • September 24, 2021

      Dear Jack,
      Good Day!
You can stay the 14 nights at the same hotel, or after staying the first 7 nights at 1 hotel, you can then move to another SHA Plus hotel/s for the rest of your stay. Whatever your choice, it must all be prepaid. A decision to move hotels cannot be made on the spot.
      Thank you.

Thai Embassy in Nepal cannot issue a COE under Phuket Sandbox. They can only issue COE under Bangkok Quarantine program. If you decide to return to Israel, you must have been in Israel (or other eligible country) for 21 days or more before you can apply for the COE under Phuket Sandbox.

The Phuket Sandbox COE application requires that your flight to Phuket DOES NOT stop in Bangkok. Please book a flight with stopover in UAE, Qatar or Singapore. Do not book a flight with stopover in Bangkok.

To summarize, since India is not a part of the Phuket sandbox right now, even if the 2 of us are fully vaccinated, we have to come to Bangkok, spend 15 days in quarantine at a designated hotel, and then go elsewhere in Thailand. Is my understanding correct?

Also, Any chance of India getting included in the sandbox countries in the near future? We’re planning the honeymoon in December.

    Hi,
I am flying from the US to Phuket. When I leave I will be flying from Phuket to the US. Do I have to do 14 nights at an SHA hotel, or only 7?

    • September 17, 2021

      Dear Andrew,
      Good Day!
You can stay the 14 nights at the same hotel, or after staying the first 7 nights at 1 hotel, you can then move to another SHA Plus hotel/s for the rest of your stay. Whatever your choice, it must all be prepaid. A decision to move hotels cannot be made on the spot.
      Thank you.

Hi , I am planning to visit Phuket from Uae with my girlfriend . Could you please clarify if we can stay only for 5 days in Phuket before returning to Uae ?

As well , we are travelling to Germany ( for a few days ) 2 weeks before arriving to Phuket so we will not be able to have the 21 days in Uae before departing to Phuket . Would this pose a problem?
    Thank you

    • September 13, 2021

      Hi Ron,
      Good Day!
if you will go to Germany before the flight to Phuket, you have to apply for COE in Germany instead of UAE.
Yes. You can stay for 5 days but you must leave Phuket immediately on an international flight to another country.
      Thank you.

Hi, I am British national, living and working in Saudi Arabia as expat. I was planning to travel to Thailand in October for the period of 4 weeks. Can I apply to COE from Saudi and come to Thailand? (Via Qatar)?
    Thank you

    • September 9, 2021

      Dear Rustam,
      Good day.
Yes, you can definitely apply for COE in Saudi and travel to Bangkok from Qatar. You will only qualify for the Quarantine Entry program and you must quarantine in Bangkok. The Thai Embassy in Saudi Arabia has no power to issue a COE under Phuket Sandbox even if you are fully vaccinated.
Should you require any assistance in applying for the COE or certificate of entry, please check this page:

You need to do one RT PCR test within 72 hours before your flight to Thailand. And in Phuket, you have to do RT PCR tests on Day 1, Day 6 and Day 12 if you stay for 2 weeks in Phuket or more.
